McCue Crafted Fit secured a repeat order from Cunard to refit the shops and art gallery on board its luxury liner, Queen Victoria. This follows the remastering of aspects of the Queen Mary 2 (QM2) in Hamburg, Germany in 2016.
We are delighted to announce that we have secured one of our most prestigious marine contracts to date to remaster areas of Cunard’s luxurious flagship, Queen Mary 2. The iconic 2,620 passenger ocean liner will be fit out during a 25 day multi-million-pound dry-dock at the Blohm & Voss Shipyard in Hamburg, Germany between 27th May and 21st June 2016. The fit-out will involve the upgrade of the Queen’s Grill and Princess Grill Restaurants in addition to the Queen’s Grill Lounge. The former Todd English Restaurant will be remastered into The Verandah Restaurant, a private dining area for foodie guests wanting something with an alternative twist. The interiors will reflect the original Verandah found on Cunard’s Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth ships, staying true to their classic art deco heritage, while offering updated, crisp, contemporary interiors. Our 60,000 sq ft head office and production facility just outside Belfast is well equipped to produce the new bespoke fixtures and fittings containing a mixture of timber veneers, marble, glass and architectural metalwork which can be preassembled off site for fast installation on board. This is a fantastic start to 2016 for McCue Marine and the beginning of a great relationship with Cunard.
